A.Telephone hotline

Multi-language free and anonymous telephone hotline on HIV and sexual health
Telephone hotline is available weekly in 5 languages. You can inquire about location of test site where you can get free and anonymous HIV and STI test, doctors who speak English, in Osaka. You can inquire anything that may be related with HIV or sexual health regardless of your HIV status. Telephone service is free of charge but telephone charge is on you. Confidentiality is protected.

  Thursday 4:00-8:00pm Filipino, English

  Wedensday 7:00-9:00pm in Japanese only




B.Consultation for PLWHA

We have counselling and consultation for problem solving. If you want somebody to listen to you, sort out your thoughts by talking to someone, find a direction to move forward, make a problem solving plan in a language you feel comfortable with, please use our consultation The service is free of charge. To use consultation, please make an appointment at CHARM by phone or e-mail.

D.Other services

1. Interpreter/Accompanying service
We will provide interpreters and person accompanying for PLWHA. If you like to have interpretation at doctor's office or when you talk with Social Worker or pharmacist, please request your doctor for an interpreter or contact CHARM. Please specify if you have any preference for an interpreter. We will try our best to accommodate your preference. The service is free of charge for PLWHA and is limited to HIV related matters. Frequency and other conditions of the service will be discussed and agreed at the first meeting.

2. Home and prison visit
Social workers will visit your home or any other place of residence if face to face consultation at CHARM office is not feasible or if you want to find resources in the community where you live in. CHARM renders visitation service to provide consultation or counselling in a situation that is appropriate for each PLWHA. Please request your doctor for home visitation or contact CHARM.

3. Referrals to HIV treatment or services in other countries
If you like to find out about HIV treatment, availability of ART, or support organization for PLWHA in a country of origin or a country where you will be staying for a while, we will inquire and refer you to support organization for PLWHA.
