Do you have any health concerns, have something you want to consult or would like to be examined?
However due to language barrier, problem with the system, etc., are you having difficulty accessing medical care? Then this event is for you.
The "Health Fiesta" aims to provide support for foreign residents to feel secure in dealing with their own health. It is organized by different civic organizations in collaboration with the local government.
Interpretation provided in 7 languages.
(English, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Spanish, Portuguese and Thai)
These services are FREE.
You do not need to show any ID or health insurance card.
HIV/STI Testing
Blood testing for HIV, Syphillis, Chlamydia, Gonnorhea, Hepatitis B and C. Please come back for your results on a week day after two weeks.
Registration time: 13:00 to 15:00
X-ray Testing
Chest X-ray testing for Tuberculosis and Lung Abnormalities.
X-ray results will be sent via postal mail.
Registration time: 13:00 to 15:00
Health Consultation
Consult with doctors and nurses regarding your health. If necessary, the doctor will refer you to appropriate clinic or hospital.
General Consultation
Consult with experts regarding problems living in Japan, such as procedures at the city hall, visa concerns, marital and other family issues.
Workshop
Workshops about topics on caring for your mental health, breast self-examination and youth sexual health
Information Corner
Useful information for foreign residents on government services and civic support groups.
Stage
Will feature a skit (When a disaster strikes...) and many other performances.
Children's corner
Letʼ s play games!
Food booths
Healthy and delicious food and drinks from different countries will be sold. Enjoy lunch and snacks!
Flea market
You might find a great bargain!
Access
How to get to Tambabashi station?
From Kyoto station, take any train (except limited express) on the Kintetsu-line.
From Shijo-Karasuma Station, take the Karasuma subway line to Takeda and change trains to the Kintetsu-line bound for Nara.
From Shijo/Sanjo-Kawaramachi, take any train on the Keihan-line bound for Nakanoshima/Yodoyabashi.
Directions to venue from Tambabashi station (google maps) (8 mins walk)
Go down the stairs from the west exit and keep walking straight until you reach the elementary school, turn left, after crossing the traffic light, the ward office will be on your right.
